This was one of my first paid freelance gigs! I was a cashier at a local pizza joint, and after a while of working there, I became known as the resident artist. Eventually, my boss pitched that I design some T-Shirts for them to sell, and I agreed. There were three designs pitched, but only two made it out of the cutting room floor. It was a very insightful project, learning to balance both brand identity with an interesting illustration that people would want to slap on their bodies. It also taught me how to properly communicate with a client and make necessary changes.
